Vancouver Canucks President Trevor Linden has announced that the team has entered into a one-year deal with the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings on an affiliation agreement.
The agreement ensures that both the Canucks and the team’s AHL affiliate Utica Comets have a destination for players to continue their development in the ECHL. The Canucks’ former ECHL partner, the Alaska Aces, ceased operations at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season, while the Wings recently completed their agreement with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Syracuse Crunch.
