The Vancouver Canucks assigned goaltender Thatcher Demko to the Utica Comets (AHL), the team announced on Friday. They also assigned forward Reid Boucher to their affiliate team.

Demko, 21, was drafted 36th overall by the Canucks in 2015. He hasn't seen action in the NHL yet. In seven games played in the AHL this season, he owns a 4-2-1 record with a 1.85 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage.

Boucher, 24, was drafted 99th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2011. The Canucks claimed him on waivers from the Nashville Predators last January. He played 112 games in the NHL, registering 37 points. He hasn't played in the NHL yet this season. In ten games played in the AHL this season, he registered ten points.
