Sounding like the Hansen injury may be significant.

The Vancouver Canucks haven't yet conformed the severity of the injury to Jannik Hansen but you can now read between the lines as more details are emerging surrounding that injury.

Postmedia's Ben Kuzma is reporting that the Canucks have called up forward Michael Chaput as a result of the injury to Hansen, something that would appear to indicate he will miss some games. Furthermore Kuzma has also indicated that Hansen was sent back to Vancouver to undergo further evaluation after he suffered the injury on Sunday.

Hansen suffered the injury when he took a big hit from Maple Leads defenseman Morgan Rielly, which makes the fact that he was willing to drop the gloves with Kadri after that hit occurred a true credit to his toughness.

It's unclear when the results of the tests in Vancouver can be expected but we will stay on top of this story and report any news as it becomes available.
