Canucks centerpiece to undergo surgery, miss remaining of season.

Yet another falls for the Canucks.

The Canucks had a very hard season to deal with. Injuries and illnesses (mumps!) were the talk of the town and it obviously impacted on the team's chances to make the playoffs. Odds wise, the team is pretty much out of the Playoffs officially.

A key player will be missing the remainder of the season however.

Granlund was on a three games point streak and his absence will be felt by the team. The centerman will probably need about 6 to 8 weeks to heal, so we can reasonably expect he'll be back only next season. With 32 points in 69 games, he was ranked 5th in the team roster.
