Vancouver Canucks prospect Reid Boucher has been rewarder for his outstanding play for the month of January! He was named the CCM/AHL January Player of the Month! He played 11 games in January, scoring nine goals and six assists for a total of 15 points.

The 24-year-old forward played three games in the NHL with the Canucks this season, without registering a point. In 36 games played at the AHL level this season, Boucher scored 22 goals and 17 assists for a total of 39 points. 

Drafted 99th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2011, Boucher played 115 games in the NHL with the Devils, the Nashville Predators and the Canucks, scoring 17 goals and 20 assists for a total of 37 points. At the AHL level, the Lansing, Michigan native scored 90 goals and 70 assists for a total of 160 points in 220 games played (regular season and playoffs included). Vancouver claimed him off waivers from the New Jersey Devils last season.

Boucher played in the AHL All-Star tournament last weekend, scoring three goals in four games. The first one he scored was a thing of beauty!
