The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Michael Chaput from the Utica Comets (AHL), the team announced on Saturday. The 25-year old forward played three games in the NHL this season, without registering a point.

Drafted 89th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2009, Chaput was signed as a free agent by the Canucks in 2016. He played 129 games in the NHL with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Vancouver, registering 17 points and 57 penalty minutes.

The Ile Bizard, Quebec native had 16 points in 23 games played in the AHL so far this season.

The Canucks are currently seventh in the Pacific division with a record of 16-17-5, and are playing against the Los Angeles Kings tonight.
