After spending his entire National Hockey League career with one team, Vancouver Canucks forward Alexandre Burrows appears to believe that his time as a Canuck may be coming to an end.

While Burrows admitted that he had not been given any indication from the team's management, he also said he took some time yesterday to let the fact that this could be his final game as a member of the organization sink in.

“I haven't gotten any confirmation from management either way,” said Burrows.

Burrows made one thing clear, despite his belief that the team will look to move on without him come next season, he holds no ill-will towards the organization, and furthermore he understands why the decision could be made.

“Jim and Trevor, they have a plan. They want to get younger ... and try to build a new core. It makes total sense.”

If Burrows is in fact dismissed from the team either through a trade or a buyout of his existing contract, he believes there is only one person who should shoulder the blame.

“If this was my last game (as a Canuck), I just point the finger at myself. I had to be better.”

Burrows also told sports reporter Cam Tucker of the Vancouver Metro that he believes he can still contribute, and can help mentor young players coming up in the organization, but whether or not he gets the chance remains to me seen.
