Carey Price makes a shocking announcement.

As reported earlier today Montreal Canadiens star Carey Price faced shots in practice for the first time in three months today, certainly a very good sign for the Canadiens. Price followed it up by speaking to the media who was on hand to watch Price practice.

According to Price a return this season is not out of the question, although how fans in Montreal will feel about that is probably a mixed bag, nonetheless the Habs goaltender said he's “pretty confident” that he will be back on the ice for the Canadiens before the end of the 2015-2016 National Hockey League season. As for when exactly fans can expect him back? Price also had an answer for that.

“As soon as possible,” said Price as per Sportsnet. “I haven’t seen a shot for three months. To go out on the ice and do some real work, it’s been real nice.

“I’m starting to push my limits a bit more,” added Price. “I’m continuing the process. It’s been a really long one, obviously.”

Price wasn't done there either, he had another major announcement, it sounds like Price may not be available for the upcoming World Cup of Hockey, where he was expected to start for Canada.

"I'm going to be a new dad," he added. "I don't know if my wife is going to let me go."
