Carey Price makes NHL history tonight.

Opponents of the Montreal Canadiens have been struggling all season to find a way to put the puck in the back of the net. The main reason is simple. Carey Price.

Tonight he won his 10th straight game and in doing so, he added his name to the NHL history books. He now holds the NHL record of wins to open a season.

Price has been lights out for the Canadiens. Even when his team is giving up 40+ shots a game, he continues to keep his club in the game and Montreal has found a way to win every time Carey has been between the pipes.

He had a 1.56 GAA and a .953 save % going into the game against Detroit and picked up his second shut out, so those numbers are even better.

He is coming back from an injury that kept him out of the lineup since last November and he kicked off the rust by winning gold with Team Canada and now he is doing what he is doing with the Habs. He continues to get better and constantly proves he is the best goaltender in the world.
