Carey Price’s heartbreaking reality off the ice!

And his team can’t even help him out!

Everyone knew that if the Montreal Canadiens were going to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in the qualifying round and move to the first round of the postseason, it would be thanks to star goalie Carey Price.

The netminder has been fantastic, even since the start of the series against the Philadelphia Flyers, who lead 3-1. The Habs are not winning, but fans simply cannot blame Price who is standing on his head while his teammates can’t manage to score goals. Price is doing everything he can to keep the Canadiens alive and we bet he even considered moving up to ice to score goals himself!

On top of that, the situation off the ice has been getting to Price (we can only imagine) as his wife Angela revealed in an interview with Stu Cowan of the Gazette that his oldest daughter misses him dearly and lets him know every time they FaceTime.

Price left his family in the state of Washington as he first travelled to Montreal for training camp and is now away, in the Toronto bubble where his family cannot come to be with him.

“The youngest one just doesn’t know what’s going on, which is nice,” Angela said. “The older one struggled a little bit. She didn’t understand why we couldn’t go with him. When she’s talking to Daddy now, she always says: ‘I wish I was there with you,’ which is sad. It’s easier on me because the focus isn’t on me missing him, it’s on the kids missing him. It’s hard to see our 4-year-old always asking: ‘When the coronavirus is over will we see Daddy again?’ It’s sad.”

That has to be tough on Price, especially when he is the only thing keeping the Habs in the bubble at the moment.

Angela, who is pregnant with the couple’s third child, knows how important it is for her husband to win his first Stanley Cup. She keeps strong for her daughters, and it seems like Price is keeping strong for the Habs.

They should do something to help him out as the situation off the ice probably isn’t helping the poor goalie!
