In case you missed it last night, the slumping Washington Capitals dropped yet another decision this time to the Buffalo Sabres in a shootout. The Caps are now 4-3-3 in their past 10 games and have just a one point lead on the Philadelphia Flyers atop the NHL’s Metropolitan Division standings.

All everyone could talk about after the game last night was Capitals defenseman John Carlson and his absolute snipe. No… not on Sabres goalie Linus Ullmark… I’m talking about a fan in the front row.

Check out Carlson sniping it through the camera hole and striking a fan in the face:

On second look, I believe that’s actually the camera man who gets hit. I mean… that’s not on Carlson, right? If your job is to make sure you get the shot without getting hit in the face, that’s on you, right?
