Spirits were understandably low and emotions were raw for the Boston Bruins following last night’s Game 7 loss to the St. Louis Blues. Things were no different for the Bruins fanbase and there was no shortage of criticism lobbied at players like Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak. The bulk of the criticism was reserved for goaltender Tuukka Rask, however. Despite posting a league-wide best goals against average and save percentage there are still fans who blame Rask for the Bruins’ inability to win.

To those fans, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy has a few words:

Honestly… I was hoping he’d tell them to “Suck it!”, but this is close enough… I guess.

In any case, Bruins fans should be down on their hands and knees thanking Rask for even getting them to a Game 7 in the first place. The fact is that the B’s just couldn’t solve Binnington last night. In no way does last night’s loss reflect on Rask’s play this postseason.
