Chara gets knocked into the boards with a high hit.

Although it may sound impossible due to his towering height, Zdeno Chara was hit to the head in last night's contest between the Bruins and the Islanders.

Chara was double teamed behind his net when Matt Martin knocked him off balance and Cal Clutterbuck finished the giant defenseman with a cheap shot to the head of the falling captain.

It is pretty clear that Chara's head was the point of contact and that he was in a vulnerable position. The Islanders' player got sent off to the penalty box for two minutes for a boarding infraction. Zeno Chara did not seem harmed on the play, he got up quickly after the play to angrily pursue the Islanders' terrible two.
