Chara provides update on injury that forced him to leave Game 1

In case you missed it, Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara was forced to leave the ice in the final moments of his team’s 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final last night. Chara blocked a shot off his forearm and ended up with a nasty pressure cut as a result.

Ouch… that’s not good.

Fortunately for Chara and the Bruins, he’ll be just fine. The B’s captain confirmed after the game that he’ll be just fine. He’s not expected to miss any time.

After all… it’s merely a flesh wound.
