The Chicago Blackhawks are hoping they can hit another major offseason home run, again adding quality NHL talent to their roster at a very low cost.

According to a report from Mark Diver from the Providence Journal, general manager Stan Bowman made a trip to Foxborough last night to go watch soon to be rookie free agent Jimmy Vesey play some hockey. The Blackhawks have been rumored to be interested in Vesey but this would seem to confirm it.

A personal visit from a general manager is one thing, but it hasn't been the only one either, according to Bruins insider Joe Haggerty of CSNNE, Bowman has made multiple trips to visit Vesey, and it's clear that the full court press in on.

It would be another masterful stroke from Bowman if he can get Jimmy Vesey, the best player in college hockey last season, to join his core of already ridiculously talented forwards.
