He's certainly not a fan of Guy Boucher

Neil played 1026 games in the Ottawa Senators' uniform and had a real decent chance of winning the Stanley Cup this season. On the locker clean-up day following Ottawa's elimination the veteran forward Chris Neil was crystal clear about his future with the Sens.

I came in, cleaned my locker and I don’t know what’s ahead,” started Chris Neil. Neil wanted to play next season but it appeers the Ottawa Senators decided to cut ties with their veteran leader.

Following this decision, Chris Neil publicly destroyed his former head coach Guy Boucher.

I have a lot of respect for Randy and Pierre … I think, if it was up to them, I’d be back,” said the right-winger who turns 38 on Saturday to the Ottawa Citizen. “But they kind of put it in the coach’s hands and that had a lot to do with it. For whatever reason, Guy never really gave me the chance to show I can play."

Even before I got hurt, I was a healthy scratch for a couple of games and I saw the writing on the wall. I feel I’ve got stuff left to do. I feel I can still play and contribute.
