Coach Sullivan prophetic quote resurfaces.

It's been a hell of a ride for the Penguins this year and it ended in the best scenario possible for them. After battling through injuries and setbacks, the Pittsburgh crew went all the way and lifted the Cup in Nashville. Needless to say, it has a lot of people happy in the Pens entourage. 

However, it was not always a given that the Crosby gang would climb to the top this year. A lot of people doubted the team through the year and in the Playoffs. There were too many injuries, the superstars weren't producing enough, these kinds of things. Today, Matt Larkin published a comment coach Mike Sullivan made just prior to the Playoffs debut. 

It's always easy to judge the past when you know the outcomes, but this one is pretty special. It took only a simple question to get the guys fired up enough to lift the cup. Why not? The part about writing their own story is also pretty inspirational, if you ask us. 

In the end, Sullivan might someday be recognized as one of the best coaches that ever graced the Pittsburgh organization. Well done!
