It may not have been pretty, but the Rangers got it done for their coach.

New York Rangers' head coach Alain Vigneault won his 600th regular-season game after his team beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-1, despite being outshot 44-20. According to the NHL, Vigneault became the 15th coach to reach the milestone and he did it in his 15th season behind the bench.

Coach 'V' has been successful throughout his career, coaching the Montreal Canadiens for four years, the Vancouver Canucks for seven, and the Rangers for four. However, he has never won a Stanley Cup.

He did come close on two occasions, with his Canucks losing in the final in seven games to the Boston Bruins in 2011, and his Rangers losing in the 2014 final to the Los Angeles Kings in five games.

He won a Jack Adams trophy for coach of the year with the Canucks.
