The goaltending controversy is officialy in full swing in Pittsburgh.

After being granted his first start since March, and in the Eastern Conference Final no less, Penguins veteran Marc-Andre Fleury came up short in the effort, allowing four goals, leaving the Penguins down a game in the series.

One of the first question head coach Mike Sullivan was asked after the tough loss was which goaltender he would be going with in Game 6, and according to the senior NHL writer Dan Rosen, Sullivan admitted he wasn't sure which of his two goalies would get the start. The Penguins head coach stated he needed to "digest" Fleury's Game 5 performance before making a decision.

In defense of Fleury, some of the blame for his poor performance in Game 5 should be placed on the shoulders of the Penguins defense, a defense that has not looked good in the last few games of the series.

Obviously this will once again fuel the rumors of a Fleury trade potentially occurring over the course of the summer, and if Matt Murray is given another start and reclaims his starting role in the playoffs, no amount of denials from the Penguins will calm those rumors down.

No word on when a decision is expected to be announced.
