After taking some heat for the way he manages head trauma issues in the NHL, commissioner Gary Bettman is brushing off any criticism.

 

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal pressed Bettman into changing his stance regarding long-term brain damage linked to concussions, but the commissioner isn’t having any of it:

 

“Obviously the senator has his opinions and we have ours… medical and scientific decisions should be made by scientists and physicians,” reports The Canadian Press.

 

An ongoing hot topic for years in the National Hockey League, Bettman refuses to publicly refute or debate anything related to that subject.
