Connor McDavid, in his first game against Eichel, scores in 22 seconds.

There's is going to be a constant discussion surrounding both the number on overall pick in the National Hockey League draft, Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid, and the man who was picked second just behind him, Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel. Even though the two forwards say there is no rivalry between them, fans and the media will likely always draw a comparison between the two.

On Tuesday night Connor McDavid kicked off the non-rivalry in a big, big way when he opened up the scoring less than one minute into the games very first period, and moreover did it with style.

It took McDavid just 22 seconds, and a terrific individual effort to record his first goal in his first game against Eichel, and he looked great while doing it. Let the McDavid vs Eichel debate continue.
