 65-year-old hockey legend raised controversy

Wednesday night was all about Vegas picking its new roster and awards given to superstars across the leagues. It was all about George McPhee, Conor McDavid and Auston Matthews, but a very special moment happened that was way bigger than hockey itself.

One of the most controversial moments from the NHL awards was certainly when hockey legend Marcel Dionne was on the stage to present the Lady Bing Award.

After saying their hellos, the 65-year-old Dionne gestured towards Raisman and said: “Look at those legs!” Raisman laughed awkwardly as Dionne’s comment was greeted by boos, as well as a few whistles from the crowd.

See the whole sequence here:

Marcel Dionne was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1992. On January 27, 2017, in a ceremony during the All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, Dionne became part of the second group of players to be named one of the “100 Greatest NHL Players” in history.
