Could a scheduling conflict prevent one veteran Pens D-man from playing game 4?

The NHL Competition Committee will meet on Sunday to discuss and to make several recommendations for changes to the NHL Board of Governors and the Executive Board of the National Hockey League Players’ Association.

The players represented on the Competition Committee are Mike Cammalleri (New Jersey Devils), Daniel Winnik (Washington Capitals), David Backes (St. Louis Blues), Ron Hainsey (Pittsburgh Penguins) and Cory Schneider (New Jersey Devils). 

As reported by TSN’s Pierre LeBrun, in Hainsey’s case it’s not 100 percent given that he’s in the Cup Final but the hope is that he can make it. Could a scheduling conflict prevent one veteran Pens D-man from playing game 4? It’s almost 100% sure he will prefer the Stanley Cup finals before the NHL Competition Committee meeting.
