We get it: some people are die-hard hockey fans and it's probably a great feeling to share your beloved passion for the sport with your soul mate. However, would you get married during an actual NHL game?

That's what one couple did last night during the intermission of the contest between the Detroit Red Wings and the Penguins in Pittsburgh. The two Penguins fans tied the knot during the first period intermission at PPG Paints Arena.

They even upped the ante by making their vows more personal and hockey related of course, vowing to love each other through “penalties and playoffs” during the ceremony.

The Penguins won the contest by the final score of 5-2 over the Wings and the newlyweds will never forget this special game. The bride and groom also ensured they won’t be forgotten any time soon by their favourite team and its fanbase. The video is going viral!
