The wait is finally over…

The Boston Bruins benefited from 10 days off ahead of tonight’s Game 1 of the Stanley cup final against the St. Louis Blues, however, it felt like some players might need a few more days off…

However, there is no surprise here, no big changes have been made to the Bruins’ lines for tonight’s contest.

Over the weekend, fans got worried about star forward Brad Marchand, who was spotted in pain Friday night on the team’s bench during a scrimmage, holding his left hand after colliding with teammate Connor Clifton.

On Sunday, the star forward did not attend team’s practice, so fans started to worry about his status for Game 1. This morning, people were relieved to see Marchand on the ice with the rest of his teammates for the skate. However, the veteran only stayed on the ice for a few minutes.

David Krejci also missed the team’s scrimmage on Friday with a virus and there was the ongoing question on captain Zdeno Chara’s status for the series after he missed Game 4 of the ECF with an undisclosed injury.

There will all be in uniform tonight for Game 1, as per head coach Bruce Cassidy

Here is a look at the Bruins’ projected lineup for Game 1 against the Blues in Boston tonight:

Brad Marchand--Patrice Bergeron--David Pastrnak

Marcus Johansson--Charlie Coyle--Danton Heinen
