Crosby and Malkin suffered the Smashville effect tonight.

Tonight's game was a highly anticipated matchup between the Preds and the Pens. With the series being 2-0 Pens but moving to Nashville, the Preds had to find a new way to contain the overpowering Penguins attack. 

Apparently, this is exactly what they did in amazing fashion. 

Rarely will you see arguably the best duo of players in the league being shutdown so decisively. The Preds have one of the best defense in the league but tonight the offense took charge and Pekka Rinne did his job beautifully too. 

You know what they say, offense win game but defense win championships.
