It was a great summer for the St. Louis Blues and veteran forward David Perron had an awesome time celebrating the championship with his teammates. He was was shown in the video standing on a bear doing his best impression of former World Wrestling Federation star ”Stone Cold” Steve Austin and fans just loved seeing his enthusiasm.

However, the joy was not there for the rest of the offseason when he was thinking about the game. On Tuesday night, the 31-year-old revealed on the air of TVA Sports that he found himself lost this summer, admitting to having lost the love for hockey.

“In the middle of July, I didn’t want to go back to hockey like I usually did, Perron revealed to Jean-Charles Lajoie, translated from French.
“I had a tournament for my foundation on August 3rd and 4th and as I was driving towards the arena, I finally felt the desire to play again, I was back at that moment and I was happy.”

It must be reassuring for the Blues fanbase to know that Perron is now focused on playing and is confident to be happy about returning to the ice.

Perron still has three season left on his latest deal and should feel ready to defend the Blues’ first championship in 2019-20.
