The St. Louis Blues started the 2018-19 season after getting their championship rings at a team dinner and enjoying their banner raising before their first game last Wednesday, but the celebrations aren’t over.

The Blues still have the visit to the White House on their calendar as the team finally decided they will attend, with no player boycotting the event.

Lance Hornby of PostMedia revealed that the entire roster will be present, with no one stepping out of the traditional event.

“They do everything as a team” said one observer to Hornby.

Last year, a few Washington Capitals players decided not opt out of the visit to the White House because of President Donald Trump.

Braden Holtby, the Caps’ star goalie, did not attend the event because he wished “to stay true to my values”. Devante Smith-Pelly also refused to go because of Trump’s polarizing comments. And forward Brett Connolly did the same.

It won’t be an issue for the Blues - who might have voted on the decision… They will go to the White House on Tuesday for the first franchise championship.
