David Backes: The Bruin

Tonight, the Boston Bruins face the Philadelphia Flyers for their fourth preseason game. Also tonight, David Backes and David Pastrnak have their preseason debut. This will be the first time Backes dons the beloved Bruins jersey.

"This will be exciting to put this jersey on and go hit somebody else instead of my own teammates for a change. I'm looking forward to it,” explained Backes, who knows that this will also be an opportunity for him to build some chemistry with his teammates.

When asked about Pastrnak, Backes said that he was impressed by his skill set, and when he’s on the ice, “he's smiling, he's having fun out there.”
