DeAngelo rocks McCann with headshot while the ref looks on

In case you missed it, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jared McCann made headlines this past weekend with a BEAUTIFUL spin-o-rama goal against the Dallas Stars.

Yowza… that’s a pretty goal. You know what’s not pretty though? The unpenalized headshot that McCann took courtesy of New York Rangers defenseman Tony DeAngelo this evening.

The NHL Department of Player Safety will undoubtedly be taking a look at this play, but apparently McCann is no worse for wear.

Shorthanded goal for Teddy Blueger. The Penguins had two odd-man rushes on their penalty kill. Jared McCann also was hit high by Tony DeAngelo behind the Rangers net. Looks like he's staying in the game.

Asked McCann about the high hit from DeAngelo that had him upset: "I’m not going to comment on anything. It is what it is. If the ref didn’t see it, it’s not going to get called. We scored right after. That’s all that matters. Big two points tonight."
