With Clayton Stoner now on placed on waivers by the Anaheim Ducks, should the Boston Bruins try to pick him up?

Stoner would bring a big body to the blue line, but one shouldn’t expect much offensive firepower from him. At 6-foot-3 and 216 pounds, his frame takes up a lot of space, and can toss around shorter players entering his zone.

He’s played with the Minnesota Wild from 2009 to 2014, amassing a total of four goals and 27 assists in 227 games. Afterwards, he was a member of the Anaheim Ducks from 2013 to 2016, tallying two goals and 12 assists in 119 games with the club.

Since his NHL debut, he’s accumulated a total of 431 penalty minutes and 48 fighting majors in 338 games.

Should the Bruins claim him off waivers, or stick with the defensive corps they currently have?
