With star goaltender Tuukka Rask set to make his return from injury this evening, the emergency call up of goaltender Zane McIntyre raised more than a few eyebrows on Tuesday night.
While initially the concern was focused on Rask, it quickly turned to concern for Anton Khudobin when reports surfaced suggesting that the call up was in fact for him. Those reports claimed that Khudobin was suffering from a minor injury, but now things have become even more confusing.
Bruins insider Joe Haggerty is reporting that both Rask and Khudobin were out on the ice tonight for warm-ups which would appear to indicate that neither man is injured at all. This of course brings us back to the original question which is why was McIntyre called up?
