For the second season in a row, the Tampa Bay Lightning got the better of the Detroit Red Wings.

A late goal in the third period gave Tampa the lead and Detroit could not get a puck past Ben Bishop who led his team to a 1-0 win. With the win, Tampa won the series 4-1.

It was definitely not the way the Wings wanted their 25th straight playoffs to go. Tampa pretty much relied on one line. Alex Killorn, Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov. They were the ones who did most of the damage against the Wings. Tonight the Wings threw everything they could at Tampa but Bishop was there to shut the door. Multiple breakaways and many great chances. Detroit definitely went down fighting.

So now the big question is asked, what will happen with Pavel Datsyuk. He is rumored to be heading to the KHL next season. If those were his last NHL playoffs, they were not anything to be proud about. He had no points in the 5 games. He put up 15 shots but was not much of a factor.

So even thought the season is over, we have to be happy that the Wings were able to continue their playoff streak. They had a solid season and will definitely be ready next season.

Thanks guys for the great season, Go Wings Go!!
