Despite having spent his entire 21-year career with the same team, the jury is still out on whether the New Jersey Devils will re-sign forward Patrik Elias.
The Score reports that the Devils are in no rush to sign him, especially considering that the knee injury Elias sustained last season limited him to only 16 games.
General manager Ray Shero had this to say to NorthJersey.com:
“The conversation we had at the end of the year, he's told me that he wants to play for the Devils. There's no deadline whatsoever. We'll just keep in communication with him and see how he's feeling.”
