When you're a superstar in the NHL, you're a target. Whether it's a cheap shot, a violent hit or simply good coverage, you're constantly under surveillance.
Tonight, Jake Dotchin decided Auston Matthews was a decent target for a violent knee-on-knee.
Auston's parent were pretty worried.
It couldn't be clearer. Matthews went back on the ice a bit later and he seems fine.
As a reminder, Dotchin was the recent victim of Brad Marchand's spearing.
Marchand was suspended for his move, but maybe it will be Dotchin's turn after this violent cheap shot.
