Disappointing first rounder forward moves to the KHL.
So much hope was placed on the guy.

Being a first rounder entering the NHL has to be a tough stretch. Sure, you get a very unique shot at the highest level of hockey (and salaries!) in the world, but being picked is only the beginning of the struggle.
Once a highly promising prospect, Mikhail Grigorenko's star never really turned bright. After only 217 NHL Games, former Avalanche and Sabres turns regular KHL player.
He signed a 3 years deal with the CSKA in Moscow but the financial details are still left to be learned. He used to make 1.3M$ in his last contract, but he might get a bit more overseas.
Obviously, we wish the 23 years old the best in his new path.
