Nick Bonino is the spark that lights up the Penguins offense at times. Sure, he's no superstar but his grit and competitiveness is rarely seen in a player these days. In some ways, you could ask whether the team would be what it is right now without him! It's all a matter of culture and he's a big part of it.

Last game, he was hurt after receiving a powerful slapshot from P.K. Subban directly on the ankle.

Anyhow, Bonino was seen leaving the arena barely standing on his two feet and he missed the morning skate this morning. Then, this worrisome video resurfaced.

This is not good at all. As you probably know, a walking boot is built so the ankle and feet receive the least pressure possible to help the healing process. You can see that Bonino is in visible discomfort and put very little weight on his foot at all. On top of it all, no one seem to give a flying care about helping him reach his bag, but that's another topic.

Even without the official call from the team, we can expect Bonino to miss tomorrow's game in Nashville. However, bigger surprises happened in the past and he could still play through the pain by some medical miracle. It will be interesting to see what will happen tonight!
