The National Hockey League's grumpiest analyst is at it once again.

Everyone, including myself, has been stunned by the performance that the Carolina Hurricanes have put on in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far. When you consider where this team was just one year ago, playing in an empty building in front of almost no fans whatsoever, it is really remarkable how much they have turned things around both on the ice and in the stands.

Not everyone however has been happy for the recent run of success the Carolina Hurricanes have had and in fact that have drawn a ton of criticism from old school hockey heads in regards to their post game celebrations. Big names like Don Cherry and Brian Burke have openly criticized the celebrations put on byu the Hurricanes, although as far as their home town fans have been concerned it seems to have been a roaring success for the organization.

It's hard to not see a correlation between the fun loving attitude the Hurricanes have developed and their current run of success but in spite of the fact that it seems to be working for them some people just are not having it. One of those people is the aforementioned Don Cherry and on Saturday night he once again took to the airwaves to give the Carolina Hurricanes a piece of his mind. Needless to say Cherry's opinion on the matter has not changed very much at all, and if anything it seemed like he felt even more strongly about it than before.

Cherry pointed to the fact that the Hurricanes are no longer using their traditional post game antics in the playoffs as evidence of the fact that he was right and, according to Cherry, even the Hurricanes knew he was right. For what it is worth he did seem to genuinely enjoy the "Bunch of Jerks" movement that was spawned as a result of his original criticism of the team, but that has not changed his opinion one bit.

Cherry's co host Ron MacLean asked "Hard not to embrace it thought isn't it?" To which Cherry only replied with a stern "I don't embrace nothin."

Maclean was pretty amused by the whole thing, but Cherry seemed more annoyed than anything else and made sure to throw the Hurricanes fan base under the bus by describing them as "front running fans."
