Don Cherry's comments on Sidney Crosby's slash rocks the hockey world.

Don Cherry is no stranger to controversial statements. He likes to go against the common thought and express unique points of view. 

Cherry discussed the Crosby's slash, and his point of view might surprise you. 

"He did slash him. He didn’t really..he just gave him a tap. I'm going to show you what happened there. These are the gloves I use — the gloves are no good actually for protection. See how that separates like that? See the separation? He just happened to hit him right there and that's what he did to his finger. He’s not a dirty player."

Further, when asked if Cherry thought it was premeditated, he had this to say. In a sequence preceding the slash, Methot had a solid hit delivered on Crosby. Cherry thinks it might be related, as Crosby actually looked at Methot and seemed to be taking numbers. 

There you have it folks, Crosby is NOT a dirty player. It's just a succession of worst case scenarios!
