Done deal! Star forward inks long-term extension.

The Los Angeles Kings have officially announced that they have agreed with superstar forward Anze Kopitar on a long-term contract extension.

According to genralfanager.com, the Kings and their number one centerman have agreed on a 8 year-deal worth $80M, with a average cap hit of $10M per season. He will get pay $14M next season and his salary will decline every year.

Anze Kopitar had a really slow start to the season, but is proving his worth for the Los Angeles Kings for the past couple of months.

He scored 12 goals and 23 assists this season in 42 games and has shown no sign of slowing down lately.
