You can't do that.

You can bet San Jose Sharks forward Joonas Donskoi probably heard a few chirps about this one after it was all said and done.

On Saturday night the San Jose Sharks faced off against the Las Vegas Golden Knights in a game that many expected would serve as a preview for the upcoming playoff match up between these two organizations. Not only are both teams currently set to face each other in the very first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs but it is clear that there has been a genuine dislike between the players of both the Sharks and the Golden Knights building up as of late.

As a result the relatively meaningless Saturday night game instead had an intense playoff atmosphere to it and with that came a level pf physicality you just do not expect to see during the regular season, In fact players were taking so much punishment during the contest that Las Vegas Golden Knights insider Jesse Granger would label this one a "blood bath" long before it was all said and done.

When you try and play at that level of physical intensity however things do not always go according to plan, and unfortunately for the aforementioned Joonas Donskoi that was a lesson he would learn in a rather harsh, and hilarious if I'm being honest, manner on Saturday night. Donskoi was, like many of his teammates and many of the opposing players, trying to bring his own brand of physical play to the game on Saturday and he attempted to do so by going after the biggest dog in the yard. Donskoi set his sights on Las Vegas Golden Knights enforcer Ryan Reaves, without a doubt one of the most intimidating physical specimens in the entire National Hockey League.

Unfortunately for both Donskoi and one of his Sharks' teammates however his attempt at going after the big dog would fail entirely. Donskoi thought he saw his chance when Reaves was making his way up center ice and attempted to line him up for a big open ice hit as a result, but it was not to be. Reaves would smartly sidestep out of the way of the hit, and the forward momentum from Donskoi would instead cause him to level teammate Logan Couture

Have a look, and a laugh.
