Doughty comments on Babcock, drops MAJOR hints at signing with Leafs

Much like Steven Stamkos and John Tavares before him, all eyes will be on Los Angeles Kings defenceman Drew Doughty next season. With an expiring contract and unrestricted free-agency looming in the summer of 2019, Doughty will be the focus of trade rumours until the day he’s either moved or re-signed by the Kings. 

But yesterday, in somewhat shocking admission, Doughty admitted that he’d welcome a shot at playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The big draw? Head coach Mike Babcock.
