This is hilarious.

It seems like frustration of their current attempts to make it into the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs may finally be getting the best of the Minnesota Wild's roster.

Although they are not yet mathematically eliminated from playoff contention the hope for the Minnesota Wild is running thin and they entered Sunday's game against the Arizona Coyotes in what can only be described as a must win situation. Unfortunately for the Wild they were not going to get an easy victory on Sunday however as the Coyotes themselves were also in a must win situation with their playoff hopes still technically alive as well, in fact the Coyotes have arguably a more realistic shot of making it in.

Making things even worse for the Wild is the fact that the Coyotes got out to an early lead in this one scoring the games opening goal against Minnesota Wild star goaltender Devan Dubnyk. Dubnyk has been great for the Wild over the past several seasons but he has faltered at times this season and it was clear that he lost his cool during this particular contest.

In one of the most awkward moments of the season Dubnyk appeared to throw a tantrum in the middle of the game when he was approached by Arizona Coyotes veteran Richard Panik. Panik did get a little close to Dubnyk but the reaction from the Wild goalie was clearly over the top, as well as particularly hilarious to watch in real time. Dubnyk grabbed onto the leg of Panik like some type of furious toddler and sat there with his legs and arms wrapped around Panik's leg, refusing to move in the process.

Panik, hilariously, tried to walk away from the awkward situation but only managed to drag Dubnyk along with him as a National Hockey League official looked on. I can only imagine what the official was thinking at the time, but it appears that he had some understanding of why Dubnyk was so frustrated on the play. The official could have easily blown the play dead because Dubnyk was keeping a skater out of the play, but instead he let things play out and even awarded the Wild a power play by calling the Coyotes for goaltender interference.
