The Anaheim Ducks might be riding a franchise-worst 12-game losing streak at the moment, we will now focused on another interesting streak for now. While the minor deals that have taken place in the past few days aren't going to make the Ducks instant contenders, it is still impressive to see that general manager Bob Murray has managed to pull a fourth consecutive trade in the middle of the night.

The Ducks re-acquired forward Derek Grant from the Pittsburgh Penguins late Wednesday for forward Joseph Blandisi.

The trade took place just hours after the team landed defenseman Michael Del Zotto from the Vancouver Canucks, who were in action last night. Earlier on Wednesday, the Ducks had also sent forward Pontus Aberg to the Minnesota Wild in return for Justin Kloos.

Grant has two goals and three assists in 25 games with the Penguins this year. He was a member of the Ducks last season, when he had 12 goals and 12 assists in 66 games. He signed as an unrestricted free agent with Pittsburgh last summer.

Blandisi has eight goals and 15 assists in 27 games for the AHL affiliate club in San Diego this season. He took part in three games with Anaheim this season but did not manage to put his name on the scoresheet.

The Ducks have fallen completely out of a playoff spot and appear to have no chance at climbing back to anything above a wild card. The team’s last win came on Dec. 17.

“Hardest thing I’ve been through in my career by far,” captain Ryan Getzlaf said back on Tuesday after yet another loss. “Been through some tough years, but this one, having a stretch like this, I’ve never been through. It’s been really tough. I can give you every cliché in the book with the way things are going now.”
