EA Sports NHL 20 demo shows significant jersey changes for one Original 6 franchise

Video game developer Electronic Arts officially released the NHL 20 open beta demo this past weekend and hockey fans across the world have scrambled to get as much gameplay as they can before the open beta window closes at the end of the month. The full game, of course, will not be released until September.

While playing the demo a few detail-focused gamers noticeable a significant change to the Chicago Blackhawks’ classic uniform. You may recall that last season Adidas introduced an unpopular white collar on the Blackhawks’ uniform.

Why the collar? Going for that old school “Quaker” look?

Well… good news, Blackhawks fans. If the NHL 20 open beta is to be believed, the collar is history.

In fact, online jersey database Icethetics is now reporting that the collar is being replaced for 2019-20.
