If you've been playing the NHL franchise on EA Sport for any number of years, you know the topic of the Team of the Year is always a hot issue. Who deserves a special status and who will be left out? Above all, what's the player's score with these special cards? The gaming community has decided.

The list has been released and here are the most notable inclusions:

- The first line is composed by Taylor Hall (94), Auston Matthews (95) and Wayne Simmonds (95).

- Nolan Patrick gets the 4th center spot with an overall of 90.

- Best defensman are P.K. Subban (95) and Aaron Ekblad (94)

- Best goalies are Tuukka Rask (96) and Jonas Hiller (91)

You can find the whole list here.

Needless to say, these picks are interesting but leave some to be desired. There's no Crosby, Ovechkin or McDavid in sight, nor Price or Holtby

Obviously, this new set of cards will generate tons of profit for the company anyhow. The NHL franchise is not as profitable as the FIFA one, but tons of money is poured in the game daily nonetheless.
