Early and bloody fight between Glass and Kassian.

The Battle of Alberta is often one of the most heated rivalries in the National Hockey League and it didn't take long before things got rough on Wednesday night.

With the Edmonton Oilers taking an early lead thanks to a goal from superstar forward Connor McDavid, you could just feel the tension building between the two teams and before the end of the first period it boiled over.

Edmonton Oilers enforcer Zack Kassian dropped the gloves with one of the Flames newest members in Tanner Glass and despite the fight taking place in the first period, both men were throwing heavy punches with intent behind them.

The result was Kassian looking like a bloody mess after the two men were split apart, but we'll let you be the judge of who won this one.
