There is a glaring question that is continuously raised regarding Winnipeg Jets’ defenseman Jacob Trouba: is he worth the asking price?

The 22-year-old defenseman still wants out of the Winnipeg and yet, with a bit over a week to go before the regular season officially begins, he seems to be staying put.

Rumors are circulating about the Bruins, amongst other teams, showing interest in Trouba’s services and offering defenseman Torey Krug and a few prospects in exchange.

However, with Brandon Carlo who’s demonstrating standout skills in his preseason bouts, as well as Christian Ehrhoff who may have renewed confidence in himself, do the Bruins have room for Trouba? Will those two be enough to aid a team that finished 19th overall to make it into the playoffs, or will the addition of Jacob Trouba make all the difference and guarantee a playoff berth?

Another question is raised: Will Trouba play for the team, or for a new, lucrative contract? There’s no telling if he will play a year or two and then opt to capitalize elsewhere. Whether he’s planning on sticking around long-term with his new team is anybody’s guess…

The Bruins therefore have many factors to consider, as do all teams interested in adding Trouba to their roster.
