The two top picks in the most recent National Hockey League draft have tried their best to downplay the rivalry, but you can bet that tonight's game between the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres will spark a ton of comparisons between the two young men.

First Oilers forward Connor McDavid opened up the scoring on the evening just 22 seconds into the game, by using a terrific individual effort as well as some unbelievable patience to beat the Buffalo defense and put one past Robin Lehner.

However McDavid was not done there, while the Sabres would manage top tie the game at one a piece, the young Oilers sensation had no intetion of losing this game, and after Sabres forward Jack Eichel made his best effort to ice the game in overtime, McDavid picked up the loose puck, went all the way back down the ice, and ended the game like this:
