Erik Karlsson and his wife dress up as Darth Vader and a sexy Princess Leia.

Ottawa Senators star defenseman Erik Karlsson got into the holiday spirit on Tuesday with one of the most hilarious costumes we've seen a National Hockey League player with this season.

Karlsson and his new wife Melinda Currey decided to wear a pair of Star Wars themed costumes with the couple settling on Darth Vader and Princess Lei as their characters of choice.

However in a reversal of roles Karlsson's wife went as a female version of Darth Vader, while Karlsson himself was meant to be the sexy Princess Leia, even showing off some leg to the camera. 

Of course he had a lightsaber against his chest at the time so perhaps he did so under duress.
